What interests me about this quote from Romeo & Juliet, is how Romeo questions if he has ever loved anyone before he saw Juliet. At the beginning of the play, Romeo was heartbroken over another girl, Rosaline rejecting Romeo. Romeo thought he loved Rosaline, but I’m going to assume that he was really just infatuated with Rosaline, instead of actually loving her. But then, there is also his family. Are we not supposed to love those in our family? I realize that there are people whose family has done them wrong, which may lead to resentment towards the family member(s), but at some point in time, they have loved them. I am a prime example of that.
